ABOUT JEAN HARKIN
As an artist, I come from a place of strength built from a
lifetime of experience. Both the wild power and quiet beauty of
nature captivate my attention. While painting, I struggle
to find an expression of something deeply felt. My hope is that
what is produced may hold the attention of a viewer -- the pause
that fills the other half of the equation of making art.
There are several people in Bend who collect my work and request commissions: Helen Harbin, Pat Fulton, and Anita Elsey. My work has been shown in Sunbird Gallery and Kebanu
Gallery, both of Bend, Oregon. My paintings are also in
collections in Montana, Idaho and Mexico.
